Job Role : Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Job Location : Mumbai

Job Duties

•Support various infrastructure and development teams to build automation tooling and work to up-level the capabilities of the team generally in infrastructure and code deployment automation

•Create an environment that enables and promotes continuous integration and deployments

•Assist with the SDLC process and develop tooling to automate repeated tasks

•Identify and promote opportunities to solve pain points across the board by automating the business process.

•Perform various proof of concepts with vendors and inhouse

•Architect various automation platforms and tooling

•Establish best practices, tools and standards around automation.

•Help monitor infrastructure and application performance in production and work with development teams to optimize performance and troubleshoot performance problems

•Help grow and promote patterns, practices and standards to improve the non-functional aspects of infrastructure components

•Contribute infrastructure expertise to the product development process.

•Design and implement infrastructure solutions during product development

•Mentor product team members from other disciplines about infrastructure automation and raise awareness of infrastructure and operational concerns as a key consideration of product development

•Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders for requirements development, ensuring that stakeholders understand the design capabilities and/or limitations, engaging development staff in the transfer of functional requirements into system design.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent field of study

•5+ years of overall experience in Software development and integration

•5+ years’ experience leading automation initiatives

•3+ Experience with architecting and scripting automation components

•Experience of configuring and managing Orchestration preferred.

•Experience with all phases of the SDLC and maintenance lifecycle.

•Must have great communication skills (verbal and written),

Required Skills/details

•Extensive experience in software development methodologies including both Agile (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and Waterfall models.

•CI/CD Tools- Jenkins, Azure Devops etc.

•Container technologies- Docker, Kubernetes

•Cloud provider- Azure preferred.

•Configuration management- Chef, ansible, puppet.

•Working knowledge of Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JAVA Script, AJAX, CSS, HTTP/S, etc.)

•Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP and Single Sign-On (SSO) Integration

•Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, python, bash)

•Architecture: OOP, client server, web based and mobile applications a plus

•Databases: MS SQL Server, My SQL

• Infrastructure: Servers, Network, Security, Messaging and Telecommunications Operations.

•Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
