About PERIYAR UNIVERSITY:
Periyar University is a university in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1997. It is named after social reformer Thanthai Periyar E. V. Ramasamy. The University Grants Commissions, New Delhi bestowed 2f status in 1998 and 12(B) status in 2005 to the university. Research Associate Biotechnology Job Post
Screening and molecular identification of alternate latex producing plant resources from South India for sustainable supply of Natural Rubber (NR)
Eligibility:
Ph. D in Biotechnology with specialization in Plant Biology /Plant Biotechnology/Botany and experience in natural rubber plant research.
Experience:
Candidates should have good knowledge in identification of natural rubber plants collection, cultivation as well as hands on experience in Plant Tissue Culture and Molecular Biology techniques as evidenced from peer-reviewed publications and also excellent analytical, presentation as well as research article writing skills. ii) Preference will be given to the candidates who have two years Post-Doctoral research experience in natural rubber research (rubber tree) after obtaining Ph.D degree as evidenced from peer-reviewed publications. iii) Having good research publications (minimum two numbers as first author) in Scopus/SCI indexed with high impact factor journals.
Pay Scale:
Rs 35,000 pm & HRA (25%)
